HERBERT BRANDL
Brandl’s oeuvre deals with atmospheres and states, the material of color and the painterly gesture, the inner tension and the intensification of the conflict between color and light.
SEVDA CHKOUTOVA
Her graphic forms of expression are wide-ranging. With graphite pencil, she models powerful hatchings with virtuosity, then again delicately and densely, so that the individual strokes made with a sure hand appear barely perceptible.
MARIO DALPRA
Dalpra’s art is a unique synthesis of different cultural influences, from Maori tattoos to Far Eastern aesthetics. He addresses dualities such as perfection vs. imperfection and appearance vs. reality.
GUNTER DAMISCH
did not depict the world. But he was a world builder who opened up the space of the two-dimensional canvas with his spiky flagellates and stick figures – into infinity.
TONE FINK
A phrase by Joseph Beys is important to him: “Art=human=creativity=freedom.” And further: art is “revolt”, “riot”, “anarchy”, Tone Fink quotes great artists of the 20th century. And he sticks to it.
JAKOB GASTEIGER
It is not about depicting what is seen or perceived. An elementary formal language dominates. Attention is drawn to color, the structure of lines and the resulting transitions between spaces.
ALFRED HABERPOINTNER
subjects his reliefs and sculptures to a treatment that leaves traces on the works. By beating, chopping and burning, he creates textures that develop a special aura.
SUSE KRAWAGNA
Her work focuses on purism and reduction in abstraction. Form and content result from the painting style, from captivating subtle coloring and linear concentration.
HANS KUPELWIESER
moves in the border area between two- and three-dimensionality.
The photogram shows the greatest proximity to the original, which it has actually touched, and at the same time conveys the greatest distance.
ANDREAS LEIKAUF
is known for his monochrome, expressive images that use bold motifs and catchy slogans to capture the zeitgeist as it manifests itself in film, fashion, music and lifestyle.
ROBERT SCHABERL
Circular forms, reminiscent of tondi or voxel-like tunnels, whose colors change through movement, lend Robert Schaberl’s works an incredible pull and attraction.
ANNA STANGL
deals with themes of a nature perceived as feminine, a dreamlike corporeality of human consciousness. Her means of expression is the drawing, the precisely designed line that embraces or reaches out, connects or separates.
HUBERT SCHMALIX
Clearly thought-out pictures show deserted, idyllic places in which beauty is also permitted. The artist explores the interplay between surface and line and the unusual color combinations in his works.
TOMAK
According to TOMAK, everything that you want to capture figuratively must inevitably fail. TOMAK’s pictorial concept is characterized by a skilful combination of text, drawing, gestural painting and image or scientific model.
OTTO ZITKO
the line – Zitko owes his obsession with the line as the art of painting of our time to this fascination with artistic creation as a seemingly archaic achievement of human originality.
