Herbert Brandl
I always wanted to avoid the landscape, but bang, there’s that horizon again. Then I get annoyed and try to break it.

Christian Eisenberger
When I’m doing something, I get an almost inflationary number of ideas, a flood that I wait out to see what remains at low tide.

Jakob Gasteiger
I use material as colour and I don’t tell stories with my pictures. I also deal with questions of where painting ends and when sculpture begins.

Alfred Haberpointner
Central aspects of my work are structure and texture, as well as the resulting space.

Andreas Leikauf
As much involvement as possible, as little constraint as possible. Then it works out! The rest is an encore.

Alois Mosbacher
Can a picture exist only for itself? Or does it only exist when you look at it, thus creating a space between the work and the viewer?

Frenzi Rigling
You see things better when your gaze is not always directly focused on something, but looks past and takes the space between things just as important.

Wolfgang Wiedner
It is what it is. It’s about the perception of that which is easily overlooked, but which exists. Beautiful comes from looking.
