Paint it Green

“It’s not easy being green” sang Kermit the Frog about his body colour in The Muppet Show. Green is the most “natural” colour in the world. After all, most of the earth’s surface that is not covered by sea is green. Nevertheless, the most “organic” colour, the colour of grasses, trees and fields, has always been difficult to produce and is usually obtained from metal, or more precisely by the corrosion of metal. Green is considered the colour of nature, growth, renewal and hope. Each of us associates something specific with this universal colour. Galerie Gölles presents an exhibition on the many different facets of the colour green.
