Kodritsch came to the fore early on, above all as a painter of genius. Kodritsch takes up the polemical fronts that have dominated painting since the mid-1960s and uses them as starting points for his pictorial inventions.

This results in the strategy of ironic appropriation and the cynical parody of their former claims, which is often employed.
