2026, oil on linen, wood, textile, 120 × 78 × 9 cm
Born in 1977 in Budapest, Hungary.
Graduated from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest, in 2004.
Lives and works in Linz.
„The central idea that preoccupies me intensely is the expansion of traditional, two-dimensional oil painting, which already has a long tradition. In my works, I explore the contrast between softness and hardness, as well as flatness and plasticity. The works of the last decade are described using the term 'soft tension', as this best reflects the tactile aspects and characteristic features of their technical creation. I create three-dimensional objects that appear solid and hard by using and tensing soft and flat materials. The resulting forms clearly represent imprints of the working process, as well as the laws and peculiarities of the materials used“.
