"Deborah Sengl loves animals because, as she says, they are so finished in their way. But she doesn't show them off, she uses them to disfigure man and his being beyond recognition. You could call her a Santa Francisca, because she talks to the animals. It is a wordless but intense dialogue. (...)
If I could draw Deborah Sengl in her style, the result would probably be a montage of a fighting dog and a dragonfly. The former because she confronts injustice of all kinds with maximum fury, the latter because she is a sensitive soul who, now and then, frees herself from all earthly heaviness and buzzes around, perceiving and absorbing the formations of the universe with tremendous sensitivity."
