Throughout the media, Frenzi Rigling is dedicated to the conditions of what is fitted on our bodies. Skins, cells, nourishment and cyclical processes are key concepts that determine Frenzi Rigling's mysterious and archaic works. In her preoccupation with what immediately surrounds us, she reformulates its codes and makes it her own in ongoing processes. The artistic creative process is not only integrated into everyday life, but comes out of it and can certainly be read under the aspect of a feminist view of attitudes and values. The works are both vanitas reflections on the fragility of everyday life and radical investigations of social and art-immanent imprints. In the tradition of artistic feminist practice, cultural images of life-giving femininity and cyclical concepts of time are questioned. Through the use of material, medium and process, sensual as well as existential confrontations unfold around the concepts of cut, order and the possibility of connection - and become reflections on the conditions of artistic creation itself.
